The Hartford project, conceived by Yves Chareton in 1979, reinterprets the classics of the American wardrobe with a modern twist.
The adventure began with a meeting with a New York manufacturer who sold old oxford and chambray fabrics. These fabrics became the basis for the first vintage Hartford shirts, which were not available anywhere else. A few years later, the brand returned to Paris, where it continued to develop. The collections grew, with a focus on high-quality materials and style. By combining European influences with a relaxed West Coast aesthetic, Hartford quickly became a cult brand on both sides of the Atlantic, with fans such as Bruce Springsteen and Eric Clapton.
